Disclaimer & Risk Disclosure
Not financial advice. PairsCopilot sells data: the output of our statistical model, published identically to every subscriber. We are not investment advisers or brokers — nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell any security, and no figure is a prediction or guarantee of profit. Do your own research: every trade is your own decision, made with your own risk management, at your own risk. Trading involves substantial risk of loss, including loss of principal.
What PairsCopilot is (and is not)
PairsCopilot is an impersonal publication: it sells data — the output of a statistical model — published identically to every subscriber at the same time. Nothing is tailored to any person, account, or portfolio. PairsCopilot is not a registered investment adviser or broker-dealer, does not provide individualized investment advice, and relies on the bona fide publisher exclusion. Nothing on this site or in any report is a recommendation to buy or sell any security.
Hypothetical and modeled figures
Modeled gains, losses, returns, and simulations are hypothetical: they were not achieved by actual trading. Hypothetical results have inherent limitations — they cannot reflect the slippage, fees, borrow costs, or discipline of real execution, and they benefit from hindsight in ways that can be impossible to eliminate. A short version of this notice appears beside every modeled figure on the site and in every report. Past performance, real or modeled, never guarantees future results.
Pairs-trading and short-selling risk
Pairs trades short one stock: losses on a short leg are potentially unlimited, and both legs can lose at the same time. Margin requirements can force a position closed at the worst moment; borrow availability and costs change; a "market-neutral" pair is neutral only to the extent the historical relationship holds, and relationships break. You can lose more than the cash a trade consumed, and substantially more than you expect.
Conflicts & trading policy
The operator of PairsCopilot trades these same published signals in a personal account, always after publication and never before the next regular-session open, and never against a published signal. No signal is acted on before it is published. The operator may therefore hold positions in securities that appear in published signals, and may enter or exit at different times and prices than any reader.
Support boundary
Support can help with the product, never with whether a trade suits you — we do not discuss suitability, allocation, or individual situations.
Your decisions, your risk
Do your own research; consult a licensed financial advisor before making investment decisions. Every trade you make is your own decision, at your own risk, with your own risk management. Trading involves substantial risk of loss, including loss of your entire investment.
Short-form notice used beside modeled figures: “Modeled, not achieved. Hypothetical results have inherent limitations and do not represent actual trading.”
